Why 21 Degrees chose integrate to support their quality window and door business

May 29, 2026

When your projects are complex, consistent planning, processes and communication make the difference.

Successful window and door businesses balance technical know-how with clear communication to both their customers and team. Get this right, and people breathe a sigh of relief, helping you build a reputation for quality service and delivery.

For Luke Gilman, Manager of the Windows and Doors department at 21 Degrees, that balance is found with EndtoEnd’s integrate software. Known for their FSC‑certified timber windows, triple glazing, and a strong environmental ethos, they meet the most demanding performance standards.

But with technical depth comes a challenge – how do you present complex specifications in a way that every stakeholder can understand?

We spoke with Luke about why 21 Degrees chose integrate, how it’s supporting their growth, and what’s next for the business. Take a look below.

Tell us about your business. What makes 21 Degrees special?

We specialise in high‑performance triple‑glazed windows, taking on a wide range of project types, from straightforward replacements to deep retrofits and contemporary new builds.

Everything we do at 21 Degrees is about precision, performance and sustainability. We use FSC‑certified timber in our windows and combine it with triple glazing as standard. The result is a window system that performs as beautifully as it looks.

We’re proud of the reputation we’ve built. Our products are frequently chosen for projects where performance standards are uncompromising, such as Passivhaus and Enerphit. By matching cutting‑edge technology with responsible materials, we help create buildings that are comfortable, efficient and built for the future.

We find people won’t budge on using us because they know we simply won’t budge on our own standards and values.

What made you look for a software solution?

With over 25 years of experience supplying windows and doors, we’ve used our fair share of quoting software. None of them fully met our needs.

We needed a system capable of handling the detailed technical specifications in our products, while presenting that information in a clear, client‑friendly format. Too often, window companies rely on European quoting platforms that don’t translate complex specifications into something accessible for all stakeholders.

The right software should bridge the gap between technical precision and usability. Beyond accuracy (which is essential), it’s about communication and making the complex clear.

Like us, you’ll love those reviews that start with, “From start to finish…” At the heart of these is quality communication.

Had you heard of EndtoEnd IT Ltd or integrate before?

Yes. EndtoEnd and Gareth O’Brien are known because they started within the industry. We also spoke to another window company using integrate, and they were happy with the software.

Did you have any concerns before starting?

Yes! With our windows being quite specialist, we were concerned integrate wouldn’t be dynamic enough to get all the information we required onto the quote document.

Our technical demands were always going to be high.

What were you hoping new software could offer your business?

I guess we were hoping for something similar to what all window and door companies need. We wanted a user‑friendly system with great output, but with the capacity to develop alongside us and our window ranges.

Why did you choose integrate?

We had some really great meetings with Gareth and Alex, and it soon became clear that integrate could do what we wanted. In fact, it could (and is doing) a lot more. Alex did all the early graft and was excellent and we’ve had lots of support from Liam and Josh, too.

They understood windows and doors fully, which made this an easy decision.

How has it been going since you started using integrate?

Great. We’ve been tweaking our output over the last six months, following internal and external feedback. That’s the difference. You can’t do that with rigid off-the-shelf systems.

My team love using the software, and our clients love the new layout.

Have there been any challenges? How did you overcome them?

Challenges were getting the right information to output in a bespoke way for our company, but the support team at EndtoEnd is excellent. They listen and always come back with a solution.

The difference is integrate is designed specifically for our industry.

What’s the best thing about integrate so far?

It is so simple for our team to learn and use.

Any unexpected benefits from using integrate?

We had high expectations, but integrate has even exceeded these.

Specifically, we like the flexibility and constant development going on in the background. When we ask for something new, chances are it’s already partway through development, which shows the benefit of software that is built for your industry.

What’s your advice for others in the window and door industry looking for new software?

Don’t sign up anywhere else before speaking with Gareth and his team. They’re the experts, and you’ll come away with more knowledge and understanding of what will actually help you.

What’s next for 21 Degrees?

We’re at the early stages of launching an external blind range to help combat the increasing risk of overheating in modern homes. It’s an exciting development that shows how we always like to push our work and services forward. Watch this space!

Ranmoor deep retrofit project, Sheffield, using 21 Degrees’ full range of products

From Gareth O’Brien, Director of EndtoEnd Ltd

Working with Luke and the 21 Degrees team has been a great experience. This project came with some real technical challenges, particularly around bringing together installation spreadsheets with multiple tabs and information that didn’t naturally align.

What projects like this really show is the flexibility of integrate and the expertise of Alex and the wider team, who were able to create a solution that works seamlessly for 21 Degrees. Best of all, the users genuinely enjoy using it day to day.

It’s great to hear how 21 Degrees is finding integrate to be the software they wanted. Their work shows how the right software can make even the most technical products easier for customers to understand. I like the phrase ‘complex made simple’ because common-sense communication is such a big part of success in the window and door industry.
